All year long I keep a collection of books tucked away for the month of December. Over the years we’ve amassed a large collection and the children enjoy pulling out a new book from the bag each day. In a sweet telling of the meaning behind the nativity, Mortimer leaves his dark dingy home in search of something better, and discovers the Christmas manger! This book easily becomes a favorite that your kids will want to hear over and over.

The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree
Papa has had to leave their Appalachian home because of the war, which means Ruthie and her mother now must try to figure out how to fulfill their obligation to get the perfect Christmas tree to town for the special celebration.

The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey
This book follows the story of Jonathan Toomey, an amazing woodcarver who is also a widow that never smiles. His life changes forever when he is commissioned to create a piece for a widow and her young son. This moving story has become a Christmas classic.
